House Rules

- Quiet Hours are after 11pm. Failure to follow quiet hours may lead to immediate cancellation of booking without refund.
- This is a self-check-in property; you certify that you are willing and able to follow the instructions that are provided through Airbnb and/or the digital guidebook link prior to your check-in date. Failure to follow check-in instructions resulting in the inability to access the unit is not grounds for cancellation.
- There is a $200 fee per day for smoking inside the unit.
- There will be a $50 fee for any unauthorized late check out.
- Damages/losses as a result of guest failing to follow the house rules as provided, requiring the subsequent guest(s) to be discounted or refunded will be the responsibility of the negligent party
-If hanging any type of decorations, only use wall safe tape.
- Please confirm the number of guests in the reservation. Any additional overnight guest will incur an additional fee.
- Guest understands that exterior surveillance and noise monitoring devices may be used on the property.
-Any and all pets must be approved and applicable pet fee paid. Any
unapproved pets on the property is a violation of house rules and will
incur a penalty of up to $500.

The space
This spacious, well designed cottage offers a full kitchen with all the essentials, comfortable tiled shower with rain shower-head, and detachable shower-head, easy key-code access, Wifi, two flat screen smart TV's, laundry room, inside and outside seating areas, grill area, outdoor shower and ample space in the large shady backyard to play and entertain. The spiral staircase to access the loft is narrow. If you have trouble climbing stairs or are over 250lbs using this staircase may be challenging. Beach chairs, an umbrella, a cooler, a portable speaker are provided for you convenience as well as coffee, sugar, bath and beach towels, bed linens, paper towels, toilet paper, and soaps.
Guest access
In addition to the cottage, guests have access the to the fenced-in 1/2 acre backyard, with ample parking for cars, boats, RVs etc. (backyard is shared with home owner and guest of the Island Hideout). Guests also have access to the outdoor grill beside the deck.
Additional notes
There are two other units, The Island Hideout and The Island Nest, attached to the rear of the front house, that may house other guests during your stay. The structures are separated by about 200' but are on the same half acre property so please be courteous.

The Cozy Island Cottage is the Stand alone in the back corner of the yard.

***We have implemented COVID-19 protocols to ensure the health and safety of our guest. The unit will be thoroughly cleaned between each guest using CDC recommended cleaning products and procedures. In addition, the unit is equipped with cleaning supplies so guest can routinely clean frequently touched spaces throughout their stay. This is a self-check in unit so there is no need for guest/host interaction unless requested. If guest/host interaction is required, we will follow social distancing guidelines to the best of our ability.

Owner lives in the house at the front of property and can be available for any issues or questions you may have about the area, restaurant recommendations, or activities.
Neighborhood overview
Centrally located in a convenient James Island neighborhood, only a quick 5-mile drive or Uber ride to both Folly Beach and Downtown Charleston. Beautiful James Island County Park is close by as well as restaurants, bars, shopping, banking, and convenience stores within a half-mile.
Getting around
Uber and Lyft are plentiful and affordable. There are also local yellow cabs, limo services, and a public transit.
